Opportunities to visit APH

Tours of APH are scheduled for Thursday, October 13. Transportation will be provided between APH and The Marriott Hotel.

Reserve your tour by selecting one of the options listed below. Please indicate your transportation intention so that accurate arrangements can be scheduled with our transporting company.

THURSDAY MORNING TRIPS TO APH, OCTOBER 13
Bus leaves hotel from the 2nd Street entrance at 9:00 a.m. and leaves APH to return to hotel at 11:30 am.

9:30 am - 11:30 am
Tour the APH Plant, Callahan Museum, and Hall of Fame
The plant tour features an overview of APH production processes in braille and large print, recording studio, and educational aids. The Hall of Fame continues to grow with the recent installation of new kiosks and plaques featuring leaders and legends in the field of blindness. The Callahan Museum will highlight new exhibits.

9:30 am - 11:30 am
Tour the Callahan Museum and Hall of Fame
Those who want an in-depth look at the Callahan Museum's excellent collection and to learn more about its resources, including archival material for research, that are available for the field, may choose to spend the entire visit in the Museum and Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame continues to grow with the recent installation of new kiosks and plaques featuring leaders and legends in the field of blindness. The Callahan Museum will highlight new exhibits.

I will require APH transportation
THURSDAY AFTERNOON TRIP TO APH, OCTOBER 13
Bus leaves the hotel from the 2nd Street entrance at 1:00 p.m. and leaves APH to return to hotel at 3:30 pm.

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Reservations must be made no later than September 13 by directly contacting The Marriott Hotel. Rates and contact information are provided in the enclosed informational flier from The Marriott Hotel included in this mailing.

Confirmation for receipt of your registration information will be emailed to you. Please contact Kathy Smiddy at ksmiddy@aph.org, if you have not received your confirmation by September 20.
