Adjusting the Sails
2006 Annual Meeting of Ex Officio Trustees
American Printing House for the Blind, Inc.
October 12-14, 2006
The Marriott Hotel - Louisville, Kentucky
August 8, 2006
October 12 through 14 are the dates for the 138th Annual Meeting of APH Ex Officio Trustees and friends. Our meeting site will again be the Downtown Marriott Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. We hope that you will "calendarize" these dates and join in as we share our progress and heed your counsel.
We invite you to join us this year as we begin "Adjusting the Sails" to embrace changes and new experiences. As a very special treat, nationally known author, musician, actor and athlete Tom Sullivan will present a not-to-be-missed keynote session. And we will celebrate the addition of two new members to the Leaders and Legends Hall of Fame for the Blindness field as we induct Dr. Arnall Patz and Annie Sullivan.
APH staff members and product authors will provide training sessions and information on the latest APH products. An Information Fair will offer posters and demonstrations of new and current APH products, projects, and services. A variety of related meetings will take place before and after Annual Meeting, and this year we'll set sail for an exciting Saturday night dinner cruise on the Spirit of Jefferson.
Enclosed is an Annual Meeting 2006 packet with registration form and hotel flyer. Your registration form should reach APH by September 8, 2006. Please make your reservations with the Marriott by using the information on the enclosed flyer. Reservations at the Marriott must be made by September 12.
We are happy to be of service to you by providing tactile maps of the hotel and orientation to the facility. Please see your registration form to sign up for orientation to the hotel on Wednesday or Thursday. If there are other ways that we can make your stay more enjoyable, please contact APH and we will do our best to accommodate you.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after October 5, 2006.
We encourage your active participation in this annual historic meeting that gathers many people of our field in Louisville each year. Please take this opportunity to share in the joy of our common journey.
