Online CVI Class Now Available

The Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) presentation by Dr. Gordon Dutton, a pediatric ophthalmologist from Glasgow, Scotland, at AER2006 in Snowbird, Utah, sponsored by Divisions 7, 8, and 9 of AER, is now available as an online course. CEUs are available.

The workshop entitled, "CVI-Damage to the Brain-A Common Cause of Visual Impairment in Children," is an online course broken into nine sections. The course provides students an overview of the visual system and how it works, disorders of vision due to brain damage, and approaches to helping students with vision problems due to brain damage. Dr. Dutton provides participants theory and practical application from his expertise as a clinician working with children and their families having been diagnosed with CVI. The intended audience for this course is any care provider working with a child diagnosed with or suspected of having CVI.
