APH Educational Research: Technological Solutions
Formed in April 1998, Technological Solutions is the section of the Department of Educational and Technical Research designed to find and evaluate technological solutions to further APH's mission. This group accomplishes its goals by writing educational software, consulting with other project leaders in the Department of Educational and Technical Research, and identifying processes and procedures throughout the company where technology needs consideration.
Technological Solutions provides educational software. Recognizing that most off-the-shelf educational software is among the least accessible available, the technology group both creates accessible software and looks for ways to use existing programs with adaptation. Most of the technology group's software comes with its own speech environment that works with the customer's PC sound system and its own large print environment.
