Description: A small piece of gray and brown soapstone has been carved into the elegant head of an eagle. The work has an abstract look because of the position of the head. The back of the head rests on the table, so that the beak is sticking straight up toward the sky, creating a pyramid-like shape. Lightly carved lines indicate a few feathers and the eyes. Except for these few lines, the surface is carefully polished is smooth to the touch.
