Description: The artist has carved pitted blue-gray-brown soapstone into an abstract shape. The form is vaguely reminiscent of two off-center pyramid shapes joined so that there is a point at the top and one at the bottom. The piece balances on the bottom point and is mounted on a black wooden oval-shaped base. Oval and rectangular forms are carved out all around the stone form. The surface has been given a smooth finish, but texture is added by the stone's naturally pitted surface.
