Description: Glazed clay has been used to create the figure of a mermaid who is seated with her tail curled under her and her head thrown back as though she is chanting. Much of the figure has been left the natural cream color of the clay. Clear glaze has been placed over that part of the sculpture. Her lips are bright orange-red. The lower part of her body, and her tail are pale blue and sea-green.
