Description: Several shades of gray and white fibers have been used in this weaving. The entire piece looks like a long rectangle divided into five vertical sections. Each is complex. The top section is made up of five woven rectangles doubled to allow a clear plastic hanging rod to be inserted. The two outside rectangles are darker than the middle ones. A bright white row of fiber separates these five rectangles from the two wider medium gray rectangles in the next section. A second row of white fibers separates the second section from the third. The third section is near the center of the hanging and is quite dramatic. The center part of this section is dark gray. On either side of it, there is a pair of very thin white strips. The outer edges of this section are medium gray strips. Another row of thick white fiber separates this section from the fourth section. This section becomes two wide rectangles, similar to the second section. A fourth band of the white fiber separates this short section from the final section, which is made up of five alternating rectangles of light and dark gray. At the bottom of each of these rectangles, the fibers have been left unwoven, so that they create a long fringe.
