Description: A tall cylinder is shaped into the hollow trunk of a whimsical tree. Two short branches project from its sides as though they are upturned arms. The body of the form has eyes and a smiling mouth cut into it, so that the light of a candle, placed inside, will show through. Its nose is a ball of clay stuck onto the outside of the form. The inside of the form is shiny dark brown glazed clay. The outside of the trunk is rough-textured redish tan. A few areas on the trunk are covered with green, suggesting moss.
