Description: This acrylic painting depicts the cold waters of Canada's Sydenham River in the autumn. The lower third of the painting shows the midnight blue and deep green river outlined with a periwinkle strip. On the gray riverbank is a forest full of colorful tree forms in red, green, purple, and bright orange. They are abstract and their shapes are multitudinous and thinly outlined with lighter or darker colors. The top third of the painting is a periwinkle sky with taupe clouds outlined in brown. The clouds are sharp and jagged, atypical for a cloud design. The most striking aspect of this painting is the contrast of color, enhanced by the outline of each object.
