Description: This drawing was created with only a pencil; however, the contrast in shading provides a large range of depth. The focus of the drawing is a raccoon, which comprises most of the space. The raccoon appears as if it is slowly approaching the viewer; its head is set lower, which gives it a friendly or meeker demeanor. The shading is darkest around its eyes, represented by two dark, pleasant circles. Surrounding the raccoon is a number of leaves, varying in shape, size, and degree of shading.
