The Wild Wild Turkey
Artist: Terry Strater
Description: In this sculpture, a square wooden base is topped by a "nest" made of many twigs and pale flecks of paper. In this nest, on thin bowed legs, stands a turkey with a round, brown, glittery body. The bird's wings are folded at its sides, its head looks straight to the front, and it has a sculpted wattle on its chin and eyes formed by indentations in the clay. The turkey's tail is made of thin coppery and red strands of wire.
