This is one of the writers-sometimes called "crab writers" for their sideways motion-in which keys and carriage move together across the paper. It is a downward writing model and the finger used for dot six is used for dot one. It moves from right to left. It is capable of interlining. A metal plate reads, "Light Brailler." Japanese inscription is under the wooden base. The metal case is painted brown and has a decorative handle on the top.
