Building a Future:
U.S. Residential Schools for Blind and Visually Impaired Students
Historical images from the collection of the Callahan Museum

The historical images of schools for the blind, with information about the buildings, are presented chronologically, in order of their founding. The extant buildings are noted, and eight of these are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This presentation is based on an exhibition, Building a Future, which may be rented by organizations.
