Description 2003.185.124a - Swivel desk slate made of brass with 2 lines of 35 braille cells; two pegs on the back fit into the holes in the board; a blunt peg on the front right secures the slate in a closed position. 2003.185.124b - Wooden board with two sets of 7 holes to accomodate slate. A hinged wooden clamp at top has pins to secure paper. Initials are carved into the front and back of the board. Wood is worn and scratched.
