Provenance/History Item is a sample slate given to Fred Gissoni by a Howe Press employee in 1996 to test for use with blank cassette labels produced by various manufacturers. Fred found that the slate did not work with some cassette labels due to the shape of the lip around the island (opening) of the slate. Howe Press did produce the slate. Fred is blind and works in Customer Service at APH.
