Description Pocket braille slate; 9 lines of 20 cells; offset pins-- (down)in right corners of top frame and (up) in left corners of bottom frame; "Lehrmittel Verlag Blindeninstitut Wien" stamped on front of top frame; outline of a shamrock and "76" on back of top frame; cell windows indented to guide placement of stylus.

Provenance/History Item is part of a slate collection that belonged to David Ronecker (1918-2001). He was blind since birth, attended the Missouri School for the Blind, worked in
Texas as a medical technician for the armed forces, and was an avid collector of slates. His nephew, Charles Zinser, sold the slate collection after Ronecker's death.
