Description Plywood backer-board set into dado of mitered pine frame; natural wood finish; frames for numbers created by gluing 1/4" pine strips in grid pattern; circular saw marks evident on wood, hand tooling evident; white plastic braille tiles with large black numbers glued into grid; center space filled with wooden tile; "B" column is 6-14-13-3-9.

People Randles, Mary, 1903-2004
Provenance/History Item was used by Mary Randles, mother of Raymond Randles, during the 1970s and 1980s at family gatherings in her home. She was born on June 29, 1903 and died on April 20, 2004. She was visually impaired and attended the Kentucky School for the Blind from 1913-1924 (the year of her graduation). Raymond is a retired APH Talking Book Studio Supervisor.
