Description 
TR-1000 Talking Book phonograph; charcoal gray leatherette-covered case with removable lid, nickel-plated hardware, and gray plastic carrying handle; black rubber feet on base and bright plated feet on back; solid-state transister amplification system; speaker mounted in lid on left side, covered with gray metallic speaker cloth, cord from lid plugs into RCA jack on right rear of deck; RCA headphone jack on front right; white plastic speed selector switch extends from the turntable to left, settings for 33 1/3, 16 2/3, and 8 1/3 rpm; aluminum tone arm had aluminum lever on top, when compressed it withdraws the needle cartridge and extends a white plastic bar which will find the edge of the record as the arm is lowered to assist with locating the beginning of the record by a vi user; black rotary power/volume switch and tone switch in front right of deck; gray enameled stamped steel turntable with gray foam pad; black 6 foot plastic power cord; metal tag on front, "APH"; serial# 4224.
