The tape was distributed by the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) Department of Public Education. AFB recorded several series of public service radio shows. The Callahan Museum purchased five "Manpower" tapes and three tapes from "A Quartet," another AFB radio series, through a collector. The tapes had been mailed parcel post in fibre-board containers to radio station WKOV in Wellston, OH, between 1960 and 1961. The "Manpower" flyer indicates that 39 interviews were recorded for the series; 38 interviews appear on the list of contents. |
