| Abstract |
Color-tinted photo. Shows children swinging and playing games on a grassy lawn at the school. The front entrances to some buildings can be seen across the street. One building is red brick and has a columned porch. Printed at the bottom edge of the front of the postcard is "Children at Play, Western Pennsylvania Institution for the Blind, Pittsburg, Pa." The back of the postcard is divided. It has been used and bears a postmark of August 10, 1909. The picture on this postcard is identical to another postcard in the museum collection (1999.47). It is identified as "Institution for the Blind, Pittsburg, Pa."--front of postcard. |
