Abstract Front of postcard shows an architectural rendering of the red brick, three-story Main Building with stone trim; front view; projecting central section with a wing on both sides; entrances on both sides of the central block; three men in black suits, overcoats, and hats; two of the men are carrying black canes. Printed along the bottom left edge is "Portland, Me. Maine Institution for the Blind. Main Building." The back of the postcard is divided and unused. Printed along the left edge is "The Hugh C. Leighton-Co., Manufacturers, Portland, ME. U.S.A. 29139, Made in Germany." A triangular logo, printed at the top center, contains the word "Quality" and the intertwined capitalized letters H, C, and L and a lower case O.
