Abstract Front of postcard shows an architectural rendering of the red brick, three-story Main Building with stone trim; front view; projecting central section with a columned portico; four men are shown in dark suits and hats; two of the men are carrying black canes. Printed along the bottom edge is "Portland, Me. Maine Institution for the Blind. Administration Building." The back of the postcard is divided, used, and postmarked 1913. Printed along the left edge is "The Hugh C. Leighton-Co., Manufacturers, Portland, ME. U.S.A. 29138, Made in Germany." A triangular logo, printed at the top center, contains the word "Quality" and the intertwined capitalized letters H, C, and L and a lower case O.
