| Abstract |
Color-tinted photo of the front entrance of the school building. Mediterranean style; arched entryway; towers and a large central dome; red-tiled roof. Printed along the bottom edge, beneath the photo, is "Entrance Pennsylvania Institute for the Blind, Philadelphia, Pa." In the lower right corner is printed "214-521." The back is divided and used. Printed along the left edge is "Leighton & Valentine Co., N.Y. City. Printed in United States." A company logo is printed at the top center--3/4 in. triangle containing the intertwined letters L and V. Postcard has a 1913 postmark. Some fading; ink from the postmark bled through slightly to the front of the card. This postcard is identical to accession 2000.117. |
