Abstract Front shows a black & white photo of men in a woodworking shop. Back is divided and unused. "Woodworking.--The men do not expect to become carpenters, but they learn the use of all kinds of carpentry tools. Not only will this be of use to them in doing little repair jobs around their homes, but to know how to make articles of furniture is a great satisfaction to them." --back of postcard. The Red Cross Institute for the Blind was established in 1917, during World War I, to provide rehabilitation and vocational training to servicemen blinded during the war. Paper has yellowed; slight wear on corners.
