Admin/Biog History The Susan B. Merwin Memorial Fund was established by the Kentucky School for the Blind in memory of Merwin who served as the school's superintendent from 1912 until her death in 1923.
In 1913, the Kentucky Workshop for the Adult Blind opened under the same management as the Kentucky School for the Blind. The workshop separated from the school in 1956 and was renamed Kentucky Industries for the Blind.
