Description 
Sepia-toned photo is mounted on a white card. Photo shows students standing in front of the multistoried school building. On reverse is printed "Ohio Institution for the Blind, stands inside of 17 acres of ground, at the terminus of Rich Street, Columbus, O. Number of Pupils for the year 1867, 185. Tuition and Boarding free to the Blind, within the State, between the ages of 5 and 21. To those outside the State, $125.00 per annum. Wm. Oldroyd, Landscape Photographer, Columbus, Ohio." Photograph is faded and has slight foxing; card has darkened; stain on front left edge of card. Cartes de visite were popular during the Civil War era.
