The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind is located in Colorado Springs. It was founded in 1874 as the Colorado Institute for the Education of Mutes. Blind students were first admitted in 1877, and the name changed to the Colorado Institute for Mute and Blind. A separate Blind Department was established in 1883, and the name of the school changed to the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind.

| Custodial History |
Reports were collected by the Migel Library of the American Foundation for the Blind, which closed in 2009. In that year, the American Printing House for the Blind purchased the holdings of the Migel Library and annual reports were transferred to the APH Museum. |

| Abstract |
Reports of the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind documenting the school's management, building, and student activities. They list the school's officers, staff, and students, and include a report of financial receipts and disbursements. Reports were printed biennially in 1926-1956 and 1964. On the cover, each lists the annual report numbers included. Three years of reports were issued in 1959 for 1956-1959, and in 1962 for 1959-1962. Reports are printed, with the exception of the three latest, which are mimeographed copies of typewritten originals. Black-and-white photo illus. appear in reports up through 1942/1944. |
