The Institute for the Blind, Deaf and Dumb opened in St. Augustine, Florida, in 1885. It was renamed School for Blind, Deaf and Dumb in 1903. Then, in 1905, the original name was restored. In 1967, it became the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. |
