Admin/Biog History The Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind opened in Boise on September 12, 1906. The school building burned in 1908 and classes resumed in a rented building. The school relocated to Gooding in 1910, where a new school building was erected on a tract of twenty acres.

Custodial History Reports were collected by the Migel Library of the American Foundation for the Blind, which closed in 2009. In that year, the American Printing House for the Blind purchased the holdings of the Migel Library and annual reports were transferred to the APH Museum.

Abstract Printed reports of the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind documenting the school's management, building, and student activities. Reports list the school's officers and staff, and include a report of the school's financial receipts and disbursements. Some include black-and-white photo illus. and lists of graduating students. The 1960-1962 report lists the names of blind students included in the federal quota census. Some reports are numbered; two are listed as the 18th biennial report.

Report dimensions: 9 x 6 in.; 1972/1974 report measures 8.25 x 5.5 in.
