About the exhibit —
War of the Dots
War of the Dots, a tabletop-size exhibit, presents the history of English language dot systems, including the revisions and debates leading up to the 1932 agreement for Standard English Braille Grade Two. Historic books embossed in different dot systems are displayed in front of a foldout panel that features large print text and photo illustrations. A braille booklet includes the complete exhibit text.
Space and setup requirements: The exhibit fits on a 6 or 8-foot table. It is packed in 2 rolling crates.
Cost: Six week rental of the exhibit $500, includes shipping.
