2003 Calendar Featuring Artwork By Artists Who Are Blind Or Visually Impaired Now Available

A calendar featuring twelve images selected from entries for the APH InSights 2001 art competition is now available from the American Printing House for the Blind. The braille/large print calendar is available in English or Spanish. It can also be purchased with a custom cover featuring the name of a particular organization. The American Printing House for the Blind organizes the APH InSights competition and exhibition for visually impaired and blind artists of all ages. This project reflects APH's mission to "promote the independence of blind persons" by encouraging individuals to create original art. The calendar includes artwork by these artists:

APH InSights 2001 featured eighty-two works by artists from the U. S. and Canada. This was the tenth year for the competition. Participants range from preschool children to senior citizens and include professional artists as well as hobbyists and school art classes. Three judges selected the art works from 522 entries in a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. The eighty-two artworks were exhibited in Louisville last October and may now be seen on the APH web site:
