New Board Member at the American Printing House for the Blind
News Release: Louisville, Kentucky, July 28, 1997
Albert C. Horton has joined the board of trustees of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH). Horton is president and CEO of the Horton Fruit Co., Inc., a Louisville company.
Horton is also president of the board of directors for the Louisville Produce Association, serves on the board of directors for St. Xavier High School, and is a member of the finance council for the Archdiocese of Louisville.
APH's board of trustees sets policy and provides direction for the world's largest company devoted solely to making products for people who are visually impaired. Founded in 1858, it is the oldest institution of its kind in the United States. APH's mission is to promote the independence of blind people by providing special media, tools, and materials needed for education and life.
