APH announces Math Flash, an innovative approach to helping elementary students improve math skills
News Release: Louisville, Kentucky, April 24, 2000
Math Flash is now available from the American Printing House for the Blind (APH), Louisville, Kentucky. The easy-to-use Math Flash program allows students to select their favorite Math Mentor to lead the exercises. The Mentor's voice (created with professionally narrated human speech rather than computer-generated speech) guides the student through problems in addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division.
Teachers have enthusiastically reviewed Math Flash. Special features allow them to:
- modify the number of problems
- modify the degree of difficulty
- insert new problems of their own design into the Math Flash exercises
- adjust the program to the student's level of vision
A free demonstration of this product is available on the APH web site. Visit www.aph.org to download a demo of Math Flash.
Since 1858, the American Printing House for the Blind has promoted the independence of blind and visually impaired persons by providing special media, tools, and materials needed for education and life.
