New Board Member for the American Printing House for the Blind
News Release: Louisville, Kentucky, July 22, 1997
W. Barrett Nichols has joined the board of trustees of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH). Nichols is president of Mesa Food Products, Inc., a Louisville company.
Nichols is also chairman of the board of PNC Bank Indiana and is a board member for Alrenco, Inc. He is chairman of Dare to Care and holds directorships with Greater Louisville Fund for the Arts and the Community Foundation of Louisville.
APH's board of trustees sets policy and provides direction for the world's largest company devoted solely to making products for people who are visually impaired. Founded in 1858, it is the oldest institution of its kind in the United States. APH's mission is to promote the independence of blind people by providing special media, tools, and materials needed for education and life.
