Toodle Tiles: Emmy's Town Software

Toodle Tiles screen shot

A fun, educational computer game for all students.

Toodle Tiles: Emmy's TownTM is an educational computer game for students 5 and up. Based on the matching game of Mahjong, Toodle Tiles features bright, high-contrast colors and simple designs. The object of the game is to remove all the tiles.

Toodle Tiles can be played by students with low vision, blindness, and typical vision. Students, their friends, and parents will have hours of fun playing Toodle Tiles.

Toodle Tiles provides practice in visual scanning, visual memory, and listening skills. The student with blindness can hear audio cues, as well as audio feedback, each time he or she chooses a tile. A plastic form is also included so that students with blindness can understand the multi-dimensional aspects of the game.

About Toodle Tiles

Students match tiles that portray characters from Emuville, the fanciful town portrayed in APH's ENVISION program. Help Emmy the Emu and her friends clear away obstacles in Emuville and pave the way for a new mayor of Emmy's town!

There are four other tilesets included: a Chinese set portraying sea creatures, a veggie set, a universe set, and for the big kids, a bug set. Players can choose from three background colors, and three speeds of play.

The music for Toodle Tiles was written by Ian Stocker, composer of the digital scores for The Sims®, Lord of the Rings® and many other commercial computer games. Students will enjoy the fast paced music as they play.
