You’re Invited!

Is your child ready to have some summer camp fun? We know large gatherings, including summer sports and educational camps, are likely to be restricted, so we want to make sure your child has opportunities to play, learn, and socialize! The Virtual ExCEL Academy we hosted this spring was a major success, so much so that we wanted the fun to keep going. We’re so excited to invite your family to join us for the Inaugural Virtual ExCEL Camp from mid-June through mid-August!

Camp Info

Each week-long camp will have a fun theme to center the activities around. From Outdoor Adventure and Ocean Exploration, to Around the World and Mission Impossible, the camps are a guaranteed good time! For each of the 5 days of the camp you will get a theme and age-specific at-home extension activity for your child to complete. The camp also includes a live hour at 2:00 PM ET, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and is free to all registrants. Virtual ExCEL Camp will be separated by age/grade groups. Please register your students with their needs and levels in mind.

We know students are not always able to attend during the scheduled hour so we’ll be recording these sessions so everyone has the opportunity to learn whenever it’s convenient for them.

Parents, please register your student for the weeks that match their needs.

Week of June 15 (Outdoor Adventure) and July 20 (Ocean Exploration): Early Elementary (K-2 grade)

Week of July 13 (Serious About Science (SAS): Animal Adaptations) and August 17(Serious About Science (SAS): STEAM [tentative]): Upper Elementary (3-6 grade)

Week of July 6 (Mission Impossible) and August 10 (Around the World): Junior High (7-9 grade)

Week of June 29 and August 3 (both weeks- A Plan for Success is a Plan for You): Transition age (10 grade through 21 years)

Week of June 22 (The Outdoors) and July 27 (Music and Movement): Pre Symbolic Language (any age or grade)

We know that many educational professionals, as well as college students preparing to enter the field, have been participating in the webinars to observe teachers at work. You may continue to register for the weeks you wish to observe, but remember, please stay in the background just as if you were in a physical classroom. This camp is #FTK (for the kids!)

We hope to see many familiar names in the chat room during our Virtual ExCEL Camp. See you there!
