Accessible Technology Training: To empower your team with the skills and knowledge needed to create and maintain accessible digital content, we provide comprehensive training on accessible technology, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technologies.

Our Work in Action

GE Appliances

APH staff spent six months working with GE Appliances to help build accessibility into an app. Services provided included:

  • Overview and discussion regarding real life examples of how people who are blind interact with phones/apps/websites
  • Taught GE Appliance’s team accessible coding techniques
  • Extensive QA testing with their team
  • Result – Transformed a completely inaccessible app for wall oven into an accessible app and enabled an independent cooking experience for the blind user.

APH also collaborated with GE Appliances to create an award-winning Appliances Access Kit that includes over 450 tactile stickers that can adhere to common household appliances, including a washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, oven and cooktop, temperature-controlling small appliances, toasters, and more, helping the blind and low vision users to execute functions. This kit was included in the KBIS 2024 – 15 winning products for your kitchen and bathroom.

Thales In-Flight Entertainment Project
