Outreach Services are a vital link between APH and the best educational practices in the field of vision. Through the APH Hive and Access Academy, we offer a variety of training options for professionals in the fields of blindness and education and families including distance learning, ACVREP certification, and expanded core curriculum academies. APH Hive

Buzz over to the APH Hive, our FREE eLearning platform for educators and families that you can access at any time from the comfort of your home and office. With a growing course catalog covering categories like Early Childhood, Expanded Core Curriculum and more, we want to give you the tools you need to support students. All you have to do is sign up, watch the course content at your leisure, and complete the follow up assignment to get your certificate for ACVREP credit!

Access Academy

Access Academy (formerly #AtHomeWithAPH) is your one-stop resource for the meaningful education and training webinars you need to get the most out of APH products and services. From tutorials on new products and hacks on how to get the most from your beloved tech, to information on resources, services, and programs: our goal is to give you the info you need for home, the classroom, and the workplace.

The majority of Access Academy webinars also provide Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) credit. Credit is only available for the live presentation at this time. To collect ACRVEP credit, please listen for the opening and closing codes during the live session and submit these on the ACVREP Certificate Request form on the APH Hive. Following submission, a certificate will be immediately available on your APH Hive dashboard.

ACVREP Certificate Request

To collect ACVREP credit after attending a qualified webinar, please listen for the opening and closing codes during the live session and follow these quick steps to retrieve your on-demand certificate within 30 days of the event:

  • Visit APH Hive’s Access Webinar Certificate page.
  • Register or sign in to APH Hive
  • Specify opening/closing codes on Access Webinar Certificate page
  • View certificate (or revalidate codes if error occurs)
  • Return to APH Hive dashboard to access stored certificates, by scrolling down to “My Webinar Certificates”
