But now the Monarch’s innovative and dynamic display makes it possible to present that information in a clear, interactive format so that braille students can have unprecedented insight into the structure of the periodic table.

Designed specifically for the Monarch’s multiline display, the Periodic Table app is searchable, interactive, intuitive, and full of additional information about each element. Students can discover patterns and investigate groupings and relationships between the building blocks of matter. This app is the perfect tool for any braille reader who wants to expand their knowledge of the periodic table.

To download the app on your Monarch, please follow these instructions:

The Periodic Table App for Monarch is an optional application that can be
installed onto your Monarch. Monarch Firmware 1.4 or later is required. To
ensure you have the most current version:

• Connect your Monarch to the internet.
• Launch the KeyUpdater application found in “All Applications”.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the latest
  software.

Once you are running Firmware 1.4 or later, you may install the Periodic
Table App by following these steps:

• Make sure your Monarch is connected to the internet and run the
  KeyUpdater application found in “All Applications.”
• Select the “Install Other Applications” option, and press enter.
• In the list of applications, select “Periodic Table for Monarch,” and
  press enter.
• Select “Download Periodic Table for Monarch,” and press enter.
• The Periodic Table App will download to your Monarch. When the
  download is complete, press enter to dismiss the confirmation
  message that appears.
