A charitable gift annuity is a contract between the American Printing House for the Blind and you that gives you the opportunity to earn a fixed income for life. Depending on your age, the fixed income can be reasonably high and a portion of it tax-free. Plus, you can start receiving payments now or defer your payments until you’re closer to retirement age.

Assets you may give.

Cash – If you decide to fund your gift annuity with cash, a significant portion of the annuity income will be tax-free.
Securities – You may make a gift of your appreciated securities to fund a gift annuity and avoid a portion of the capital gains tax.

How your gift helps.

A planned giving contract is beneficial to you as well as APH. You’ll receive regular payments based on your age, the value of your gift, and other guidelines; and APH will benefit from the assets of your gift in the future.
