“I think it is a great way for students to understand number lines like their peers in class in an accessible way.”
“One of my students also loved the sound effects and the planet sileni name. She felt like her sighted peers being able to play an iPad game.”“This app was an excellent fit for my student. It was repeatable and motivating, so he learned about referring back and repeating directions for each task. His VO skills were improved vastly with immediate and motivating feedback. New VO skills included: Finger dragging to scan and find Skylar in the top left quadrant of the screen, drag and release of items, listening for auditory cues, understanding and manipulating spatial layout of an app.”
“This student enjoys SciFi learning materials so this was RIGHT up her alley! She enjoyed interacting with the characters and having the story line read to her. This was the most engaged that I have seen her in a long time. Math is her strong suit and having this be a change from her daily routine helped to keep her focus and attention.”
“[A student:] How fun! I want to tell Mom about this! Look what I did! I moved the astronaut to his ship!”
