Through guided exercises and games, My Sight teaches students about eye anatomy and a wide variety of vision conditions. These products support and empower students as they learn to communicate about their vision.
Note: The My Sight kit is temporarily unavailable while we make improvements.

My Sight is designed to teach students the foundational concepts and terminology of eye anatomy, how the visual system functions, and how impairments in this system can lead to vision loss. This program helps participants build essential communication skills to effectively advocate for their visual needs with teachers, peers, family members, healthcare providers, and the public.
WARNING: Choking Hazard—Small Parts. Not intended for children ages 5 and under without adult supervision.
My student learned that she has optic nerve hypoplasia and how to better communicate that with peers.
The students LOVED the puzzle, and the diagrams with the Velcro labels were a fun and engaging way to check for understanding.
Many students already knew the name and functional implications of their eye disease/condition, but these activities helped them understand more about the eye in general. One student asked to learn about other visual impairments that their friends had for comparison and so they knew more about their challenges (an outcome I did not expect).
Having a tool like this “normalizes” visual impairment for kids and helps them understand there are other kids going through this.
The diagrams were helpful to review the parts and functions. It was nice having the glossary and terms to refer to when needed.
