HumanWare’s TactileView drawing software is now included with the purchase of PageBlaster. TactileView is an intuitive tactile graphic editor designed to make visual information accessible for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. It allows users to create, share, and download tactile drawings from an extensive online library with options for braille, black script, or audio labels. TactileView can also be integrated with DuxburyDBT to emboss graphics and text with a single file. Whether you are importing tactile maps or generating mathematical graphs, users can create precise tactile content with ease. Note: TactileView is not available for sale from APH.

“As a blind student, I often encountered the misconception that drawing, and the visual aspects of math and science were either impossible or a waste of time. This perspective completely overlooks students like me who are visual learners. My mind thrives on pictures, despite years of teachers and professors trying to fit me into the memorizer box typically assigned to blind learners.”
“During my pre-med studies, my physics professor and tutor made it clear that engaging with drawings was essential for understanding the subject. Thankfully, with the help of TactileView software, I can now access and interpret these visual concepts through touch, allowing me to fully participate in my studies.”
